More Like Jesus
We are one big happy, sometimes
We are an evangelical Christian community located in the heart of the Gold Coast, Queensland. We believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ changes lives and we are His hands and feet in the world.
We are a multi-generational and multi-ethnic family that hosts 5 weekend worship services at our Robina campus. Weekly attendance across our weekend celebrations is approximately 1700. Our weekend worship services engage everyone from 0-99, gathering people from over 50 different birth nationalities and a myriad of denominational backgrounds and worship expressions – all united in our love of God and unashamed passion to declare Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
Our weekend services kick of on Friday mornings with our Crossroads community ( a worship community for those with intellectual or physical disabilities ). Our Newlife Youth community meets on Fridays evenings and Sunday mornings during our weekend worship services. Sunday morning services are for all ages, and our Young Adult community meets on Sunday evenings. We’d love you to join us!
Ps. Stu Cameron
We believe the Christian faith is shared best with both words and actions.
Newlife Care Inc. is the care services arm of our church. Newlife Care’s vision is encapsulated by the phrase, ‘Gold Coast people helping Gold Coast people in need.’ This vision is lived out through a variety of services, including counselling, emergency food relief, an ‘Op Shop’ that sells high quality-low cost goods, ministry to the homeless and a pampering ministry for women doing it tough (Princess for a Day).

In Acts 1:8 Jesus promised us that we would be his witnesses ‘in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth.’ Our mission is local, regional, national and global in its scope.
Beyond our nation’s borders, Newlife has a number of Acts 1:8 mission partners and projects which we support financially, prayerfully and in other ways. Nations with which we are actively engaged include Bosnia, Cambodia, Thailand and the Solomon Islands. We have very active ‘child sponsorship’ programs in northern Thailand and Cambodia. Approximately 100 children are receiving a quality education and other assistance through these initiatives. Each year we offer mission trips for people to travel to one of our partners.
Please use the contact form if you’d like to find out more about our Acts 1:8 mission projects and partners.
Since January 2012 Newlife has been the operator of the Isle of Capri Early Learning Centre. Located centrally on the Gold Coast only two minutes from Surfers Paradise, the centre provides high quality childcare and education for children aged 15 months to 6 years of age.
A qualified team of dedicated carers provide a safe and secure environment where children develop a love of learning through play. Find out more about the Isle of Capri Early Learning Centre here.
Playgroup is a place where parents and carers of children (below school age) can interact with their children and others who are at similar life stages.
Playgroup is a fun, well resourced and safe environment facilitated by our early childhood learning qualified director Sue Cameron and her very able and friendly volunteer team.
There is a large variety of activities in our hall, courtyard and playground area, which is fully fenced in, featuring self-closing child safety gates.
Activities include: cars, bikes, cubby, slides, climbing frame, car mat, painting, play dough, home corner, animals, dolls, baby toys, etc. Each morning concludes with a short group time involving both adults and children.
We provide morning tea for the adults, and ask parents/carers to bring something for their child to eat. We also provide complimentary tea and coffee, as well a coffee shop on site.
Cost is $8 a visit. Or an annual fee of $30 (paid at the beginning of the year) reducing each visit to only $5.
Playgroup runs from 9.30-11.30am, Monday-Thursday during the school term.
At Newlife, we take seriously Jesus’ call to love God with our heart, soul, MIND and strength.
We are passionate about providing discipleship pathways that help you grow in knowledge & faith, wherever you are in your journey with God. Throughout the year we run a number of seminars, courses and training events, including Lifekeys and Winter School. An important recent addition is our Foundations course, a four week introduction to the Christian faith which we hold every school term.
Please use the contact form if you’d like to find out more about upcoming training opportunities.
8.00am & 10.00am every Sunday Morning at our Robina campus.
Our Sunday morning celebrations run for around 80 minutes. We offer communion on the first Sunday of the month. The style of our celebrations is informal and relaxed. People come to Newlife dressed in styles from smart casual (or as we call it, ‘Gold Coast formal’) to beach-ready. If you like wearing a tie, you are more than welcome, but you will stand out!
If you decide to join us for one of our Sunday celebrations we suggest you arrive 10 minutes or so before the stated service time. This will allow enough time for our car park team to help you find a place to park your car, register any children for our Kidzlife programs and then finally for our Connect team to greet you and find a seat. We would love to welcome you to Newlife!
Our Creative team desires to gather musicians, artists, poets, writers, technicians, dancers, actors, designers, coders, photographers, filmmakers, administrators and imagineers that reflect a God-perspective, not just in the art we create but in the lives we live.
We are a vital volunteer arm of our church which provide outlets for creative expression, as well as serving & supporting each of our worshipping communities every week through music & the arts.
If God has given you a creative gift, it is for the purpose of communicating His nature, His character, His Truth and His Word with a perspective only you have been uniquely gifted to bring. To join our collective, please contact us via the contact form. We are missing your creative voice!
Kidzlife is the collective name for all our ministry to Children.
From our Sunday morning Worship experiences, to midweek playgroup and after-school programs, kidzlife aims to develop children from 0 – 12 who love one another, laugh a lot and learn about the God who created them!
Bubz is our créche program for children under the age of 3. Filled with play, praise and stories, our children are introduced to the Word and truth of God in a caring, nurturing and interactive environment.
Our kids are never too young to learn. Led by our passionate Bubz leaders, they will begin their faith journey in safe hands.
KindyKidz is for children aged 3 to 5, where they will continue to explore the love that God has for them. We see the early years as an amazing opportunity for our kids to develop a foundational understanding of the Christian faith.
BigKidz is our energetic, exciting and interactive program for those in Years 1 to 6. Our vision is to see every one of our children connected to a life group with caring and passionate lifegroup leaders. Our program is all about seeing our kids love, laugh and learn about God and his plan for their lives.
If you’re new to our church, or just visiting, the young adult movement of Newlife Uniting Church is known as 12two. We are passionate about Discipleship, Evangelism, Community and Mission.
The verse which frames our purpose is found in Romans 12, verse 2:
“Do not conform to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
In the same way the Apostle Paul charged Timothy in 1 Timothy 6:11, our charge is to flee from evil, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.
We meet together every Sunday night @ 6pm at our Robina campus.
Newlife Youth is the youth movement of Newlife Uniting Church. We exist to be a revolution of young people who are excited about sharing the life transforming Gospel of Jesus. Newlife Youth meets at various different times throughout the week with our main gatherings happening at our Friday night Youth service and during our Sunday morning church services. We also have a team of passionate youth leaders who are dedicated to mentoring and providing opportunities for young people in their journey of faith. Our leaders are also eager to mentor young people through the various stages of adolescence and life.
If you are a school aged student in grades 7 – 12, we would love for you to come along to our Friday Night Youth, or our Sunday morning service.

We all want to feel like we belong, and the best way to do that here at Newlife is to join a small group. Help a small group become a community of people who genuinely love and care for each other.
Our groups meet weekly or fortnightly, during the day or evenings. Small Groups are where we ‘do life’ together. We share, we pray and we reflect together on what God is saying to us in the Bible. We use a wide array of Bible study materials including books and DVD teaching. Some groups meet at the church, although most meet in homes. In a large church like ours, small groups are the best way of connecting with people. We have groups for men, women, mixed groups, young adults, families and seniors.
If you would like to join a small group, please contact us via the contact form, or signup via our free church app here.
Men play a vital role in the life of our church and of course in the life of our families.
Our church provides various programs and activities to build the spiritual life of men, including breakfasts and evening ministry, sporting events and retreats.
Please contact the church office for details on upcoming events, or download our free church app here.
Newlife Women are encouraged to connect in a number of ways. There are a wide variety of small groups that meet throughout the week – some are short term and with a specific purpose e.g. Woman to Woman; while most are ongoing and meet either in the day or evening for bible study, prayer and friendship.
Other events are held throughout the year. These include a retreat day and more social events such as breakfasts, high teas, coffee evenings and the like.
Newlife Women of every age love to spend time together. We also love to support our Acts 1:8 mission partners around the world.

12two is the name of our Young Adult community. We meet together every Sunday night from 6pm at our Robina campus and whilst we welcome people of all ages, you’ll find this service is most suited to those aged from 18 to 30.
Our hope is that you and your children will develop meaningful relationships with those that understand the season of life you are in – friends you can walk out your Christian faith with and encourage one another as you grow in your relationship with Jesus.
