Newlife Care | October 2019

By October 9, 2019 One Comment

Here we are at the beginning of October and planning has started for the 2019 Christmas Project.

The Christmas Project aims to help Gold Coast families doing it tough at Christmas. Last year we provided 500 Christmas food hampers and approximately 3,000 gifts. This year we will aim to provide 550 hampers plus gifts to families in need.

Again this year we are calling for volunteers to help with packing the hampers of Christmas food for each family and selecting and packing the gifts for each family member.

Our Op Shop September half price days for October are as follows:

  • Thursday 10th 9-4
  • Saturday 12th. 9-2

Note: Also, we are very low on toothpaste if you would like to donate.

It is wonderful what Nulife is doing. But as well as Crossroads, Princess for a day, Caravan Park volunteers,

It would have been great to ask for volunteers to teach or help with Religious Instruction in State Schools,
so that children who may never hear about Jesus and God will have a chance to know and learn. As well,
we are fortunate in Queensland to be able to go into schools to teach, as this is it possible in some states.

It would indeed be sad if we were told that we could no longer do this, because we haven’t availed ourselves
of the opportunity and haven’t provided teachers and helpers.
