Alpha is a video series followed by group conversations designed for those who are interested in exploring life, spirituality, and faith in a relaxed, non-judgmental environment. If you’re an atheist, skeptic or just curious about faith, bring your thoughts to the discussion group and explore questions of life with new friends! If you’re a Christian, consider bringing a friend who is curious about faith and wants a place to explore their questions. 

If you’re a Christian, you get baptised!
Here at Newlife, we believe baptism is an important step in your faith journey and it would be an honour to celebrate this special moment with you! We believe that water baptism by immersion is an outward act of obedience and a public demonstration of faith. If you acknowledge Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and call Newlife Church Brisbane home, we would love to share this moment with you.

Small groups are the engine of discipleship in our church. It’s where we do discipleship in community. How? Well, we seek to cultivate three postures: up, in, and out. Each week, small groups look up to God through the discipline of Scripture and prayer; in to one-another through food and conversation; and out to the world by praying for others and actively thinking through ways to serve our local neighbourhood. We do all this in our local neighbourhoods, as little outposts of God’s kingdom seeking to see more people more like Jesus.If you are a Christian and want to get into a small group, you can find one near you below. If you’re new to our church and haven’t yet done Pathways, we’d first invite you to take that step and join us for an upcoming Pathways.

During Pathways, you’ll hear the story of Newlife and be invited you to share your story. It’s a small-group setting where we watch a series of videos, discuss church life, and articulate ways to get involved. Everyone who calls Newlife Brisbane “home” serves in some way. One of the best parts about serving is that we typically do it in a team. Serving is a way to give back to God through our local church, witness to the city of Brisbane, and connect deeper into community. If you call Newlife Brisbane “home,” then we’d encourage you to join a team! If you’re new to our church and haven’t yet done Pathways, we’d first invite you to take that step and join us for an upcoming Pathways.

Prayer is one of the essential practices Jesus lived and taught. Because of this, Newlife Brisbane is a praying church. Whether you’re amazing at prayer or new to it, join us as we learn to pray together. Currently, we have two prayer spaces as a church. 

‍Monthly Men and Women’s Prayer
‍Every month, we open up two separate spaces for men and women to come together and pray for each other. Something special happens when women meet and uphold one-another in prayer; when men come together and contend for each other.

‍City-Centre ‍Prayer Room‍
‍We also have a prayer room in Brisbane City. This is a quiet space dedicated to prayer. Come and use it to set aside time, meet with God, pray for our church, and contend for this city.

Sign-Up Process:
1. Fill in our Prayer Room enquiry form
2. If you call Newlife Brisbane home,* then within 24 hours you will be forwarded a link to the sign-up page where you must sign up
3. Once you’ve signed up, you will be immediately forwarded directions and a security-door access code, so you can utilise the prayer room for your slot
4. Come and pray!

* If Newlife isn’t home for you (or you’re relatively new), a staff member will be able to get in contact within the week.
